A poem about happiness - "Happiness is not miles away"
In the heart of every human soul,
Lies a quest for a treasure untold,
A longing for a joy that's whole,
A search for happiness to unfold.
It's elusive, this elusive bliss,
Like a butterfly that flits and flees,
It's the one thing we can't dismiss,
The key to unlock life's mysteries.
Some find it in a lover's arms,
Or in the beauty of nature's charms,
Some in the thrill of new-found wealth,
Or in a child's innocent self.
Happiness is more than pleasure,
It's a state of mind we can measure,
It's a choice that we can treasure,
A way of life that we can nurture.
It's found in acts of kindness done,
In serving others, and finding fun,
In gratitude for what we've won,
In being present, one by one.
Happiness is not miles away
Happiness has to be kept in your own way
It's not about what is out there
It's how you feel inside here
My hobby is to write poems, since 2008 I have always wished to publish poems and share my creative work with the world. I take inspiration from a variety of sources, including nature, art, and human emotion. I believe that poetry has the power to heal, inspire, and transform, and it is my goal to create works that do just that.
