It appears after a rainy day,

It starts with red, then orange and yellow,
with colorful rays like a beautiful garden, right up in the clouds so high.
So green and blue and indigo blue,
and purple and pink, all so lovely.

Once I saw a rainbow so strong,
I thought I might find a pot of gold, but it was perhaps a little too far away.
I ran as fast as I could,
but the rainbow disappeared and left no memory

But rainbows are still so nice and good,
they remind us that there is always a brighter day.
So the next time you see a rainbow so beautiful,
let it remind you of happiness and joy and make you smile at life.

Some are red and some are rare.
They like to hide and play peek-a-boo,
And sometimes they make you go "eww!"

One disappears, where could it be?
Under the bed or up a tree?
It might be hiding in your shoe,
Or be borrowed by your friend

But fear not, for soon it will return,
And your feet will no longer be cold.
For the missing sock has been found,
and has returned home safely
